Nairobi is among the most beautiful places on the planet. It is as among the few cities to have a national park within the city. As a vacation site, one has numerous places to visit and have fun in the city. The first location to visit should be the Nairobi national park that is on the outskirts of the city. The park boasts to be the home of the big five animals in the animal kingdom. There are animals like rhinos. Under the rhino family, the park boasts of being home to the endangered white rhino species. At the national park, one gets a chance to tour the game reserve and interact with the animals in their natural habitat. Inside the park, there are numerous viewpoints where tourists can see the animals within proximity and at times when lucky they get to see the animals on a one on one basis. In the national park, there also is a waterfall where tourists are allowed to come out of tier tour vehicles and relax.
After the national park, there is the animal orphanage where other endangered species of animals have been kept. The orphanage provides the closest proximity to wild animals such as lions and chimpanzees that tourists can get. In fact, tourists are at times let to feed animals such as baboons. The animals at the orphanage are caged thus on can get very close to them. When one visits during the feeding hours, you can also witness live feeding by fearless game wardens who get into the animal cages.
After the animal orphanage, one must visit the Nairobi national museum which is the harbor of the Kenyan heritage. At the museum, one is welcomed by a crocodile park where live crocodiles are kept. After this, there is a snake park where various types of live snakes are kept for display. The snakes range from the smallest, least harmful to the largest pythons and the most dangerous snakes on the planet. Inside the museum, one is met by an array of African culture ranging from traditional objects to preserved remains of the early man.
Nairobi is among the highest visited tourist cities in Africa. A visit not only guarantees maximum pleasure, it also serves as a key information source on wild animals and other aspects of natural life (Hastings, 2015).
