PR SHERILLE
I agree with the classmate that the society has undergone a detrimental change as the society has become different. The current social environment has become less trusting, where strangers rarely interact even on long flights. Such a scene was different in the past where it was customary to greet each other as members of a mesosystem. Nowadays even neighbors do not know each other, increasing security risk in the long-run. The classmate noted that the distracting nature of social media has made children develop different and less meaningful roles in the society. In earlier times, people had to go through many difficulties, which are now being taken for granted by the current generation. Social media also increases the level of distraction through online bullying, where individuals trade accusations of each other with little regard for dignity (Mishna, Saini, & Solomon, 2009). Individuals insult or offend others using these platforms, which makes them ruthless in these online domains but compliant in reality.

PR CHERI
I agree with Cheri that the society has experienced affirmative changes, which is illustrated by the increasing pace of interaction. Strangers from all over the world could easily form lasting relationships, all through social media. Such a scene is faster than the historical pen pals, which used to rely on effective postal systems that took a lot of time (Leh, A. 2001). In this day and age, social media has established instant communication for these relationships.

PR CHRISTINA
I agree that the society has taken a turn for the worse, giving rise to a detrimental change. Social media has made today’s society lost touch with their older peers, who have meaningful advice and tips. The environment affects the development of the future generation (Ryan, 2001). It means individuals rely or adore social media personalities rather than look for the local heroes with useful tips on improving lives. As a result, individuals look up to distant individuals(socialites) rather than concentrating on their community (Mohr, 2013).
