First of all, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to apply for Production Finance Coordinator, Junior Executive Training (JET) Program. I have carefully reviewed the requirements of the position, and I am confident that my background and skills are an ideal fit to this position.

I possess an academic background in Finance, and have been actively engaged in Finance clubs as a student. I am a treasurer at the Finance Management Association due to my strong foundation in Finance as well as strong soft skills including communication, teamwork, leadership, and time management. My work experiences have also given me a great preparation for this position. I have worked as a cashier at HEB for about four and half years now that has exposed me to different aspects of cash management.

In addition, my strong quantitative and qualitative skills have helped me provide valuable feedback to my finance manager, helping the company further improve its liquidity position. I have also acquired work experiences in other environments that have allowed me to improve my soft skills including communication and teamwork skills. I have volunteered at Houston Food Bank, Beacon Homeless Shelter, and Houston Art Festival. These different experiences required me to interact with a variety of stakeholders who had different objectives, communication styles, and economic and social backgrounds.

My personal interests and hobbies also make me an ideal candidate for this position. I enjoy reading on a diverse range of topics including business, arts, cultures, science, technology, politics, history, and social issues. In addition, I am always exploring new movies and TV shows, not only from the U.S. but also other countries.

I must also mention that fact that I have followed Netfix for a long time, not only as a subscriber but also as an observor. I am quite impressed by the company’s evolution over the years and its willingness to take risks that has allowed it to disrupt the standard business models again and again. Netflix challenged an established player like Blockbuster and won the battle. It reinvented itself by focusing on original programming, and now has one of the most impressive catalogue of original programming that has forced the competitors like HBO to improve their game as well. Netflix also continues to enjoy rapid growth in international markets. I am very excited to see how Netflix continues to evolve itself, and it will be an honor for me to help the company achieve its goals in the future.

I will add value to the company, not just as a finance professional but also in other ways. My academic, co-curricular, and professional experiences demonstrate my commitment to excellence. My peers often acknowledge my strong work ethics, my knowledge, and my commitment to continuous education. In addition, my strong communication and cross-cultural skills allow me to develop productive work relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

I am also interested in JET because it will exposed me to different aspects of the company operations. It will not only help me improve my financial expertise but also better understand the company’s business model, and how ideas are conceived, evaluated, and finally approved or rejected. I realize it will be a fast-paced work environment but I am actually excited because I like to challenge myself.
