Many people view Las Vegas as a city you may not want to live in but do visit for vacation at every given opportunity. I also enjoy visiting Las Vegas but not for the usual entertainment options such as gambling, theater, shopping, and concerts. Instead, my love for Las Vegas comes from the vast cultural experiences the city has to offer and my most favorite part is exploring the city’s dining scene. There are many restaurants I have visited repeatedly but for buffet, I almost always choose Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Spice Market Buffet has won me over because to me it is the perfect example of how a buffet restaurant should be.
The interior of the Spice Market Buffet is a combination of your average buffet restaurant and an upscale dining outlet. My most favorite part of the interior design is the ambience lighting. At night, the ambience lighting creates quite a cozy environment which helps the customers feel relaxed as if they are eating at home. This is a smart design strategy by the Spice Market Buffet’s management because people don’t go to buffet restaurants just to eat but also to spend good time with friends and family members. Moreover, there are so many food options at Spice Market Buffet that it is only natural for a customer to take his/her time and try as many things as possible. Almost every time I have visited Spice Market Buffet with friends, I have spent over an hour. The restaurant is big so one rarely feels a pressure to leave early to make room for the other customers.
It is not possible to talk about a restaurant without mentioning the food. When we think of a buffet restaurant, we usually expect the restaurant to specialize in one type of cultural cuisine. For example, there are Chinese buffet restaurants and there are Indian buffet restaurants. But places in Las Vegas rarely follow the conventional norm and Spice Market Buffet is a perfect example of it. Spice Market Buffet offers just not one type of cultural cuisine but several including Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, and Middle Eastern. In other words, Spice Market Buffet has something for almost every person which makes it easier to plan a visit with friends with different cultural cuisine preferences. Making things better is the fact that one can also purchase a buffet option for alcoholic drinks at a fixed price, usually a little over $10. Of course, one can also purchase alcoholic drinks at individual prices. In addition to beer, the restaurant also offers other types of alcoholic drinks including wine. I am always impressed with the creative presentation of some food items including dessert. In fact, the vast dessert selection alone makes it worthwhile to visit Spice Market Buffet. Some of my favorite dessert items include pastries and Crème Brulee.
Spice Market Buffet has become my favorite not only due to the vast variety of food options but also the amazing customer service provided by the staff. The restaurant staff often checks up on us and makes every effort to accommodate our unique requests. In addition, I can always tell they are happy to see us in the restaurant and take pleasure in serving us. This also improves the reputation of Spice Market Buffet in my mind because it tells me the management treat its staff fairly, and it makes me want to come to the restaurant again and again.
The customers at the restaurant come from diverse cultural backgrounds and it is to be expected. Las Vegas is a favorite tourist destination of many and the restaurant offers food items from diverse range of cultures. Thus, I always enjoy my dining experience because the diverse cultural backgrounds of the customers give the restaurant quite an international appeal. In addition, one can hear different languages being spoken inside the restaurant which shows the customers feel quite at home.
The dining experience at Spice Market Buffet is not quite cheap but it is not very expensive either, given the fact that it is located in an upscale area in Las Vegas and things in Las Vegas are not always cheap. Breakfast and lunch are more affordable at under $20 but the dinner costs almost twice. But the dinner also includes greater number of food items and dinner is usually the favorite time of many people to visit the restaurant.
I love visiting Las Vegas but unlike many people, I am more drawn to its cultural experiences including dining as opposed to entertainment options such as shopping, gambling, and clubbing. There are many restaurants I enjoy in Las Vegas but Spice Market Buffet has a special place in my heart. First of all, the interior is a mix of a casual buffet restaurant and an upscale dining restaurant. The restaurant doesn’t offer just one type of cuisine but many types which means there is something for everyone. The staff is always happy to help you which also improves the overall dining experience. The customers in the restaurant come from diverse cultural backgrounds as one can tell by their appearances and the languages they speak. The dining experience is not exactly cheap but it is certainly affordable and well-priced by Las Vegas standards. It is my hope my friends find Spice Market Buffet as impressive as I find it.
