My name is Adrian and I am an American citizen who is 22 years old. I wanted to write to you to tell you that I am very worried about my mother. I am concerned that we will be separated because of the immigration crackdown. My mom loves this country, and she considers herself a United States citizen who contributes to the community. With that said, she is an active member in her who helps out at community projects and loves her neighbors. People who we have made amazing connections with have come up to her and told us that they were with us and supported us. My mom came to this country to escape hardships and abuse in [country were mother is from], and to send her back there would not only be a hard punishment for her but for me. I love my mother and I want to stay with her my entire life; I’m not quite sure what I will do if my mother were deported. Would I go with her or would I stay here and wonder if she is ok? These are questions I don’t want to answer and I’m humbly asking you to allow her to stay in the country. The U.S. was built on immigrants and their hard work, and my mother came over here with basically nothing and built a life worth living here. I know that she may have broken the law, but I’m pleading with you to please let her stay so I can care for her and have a family. She is a fantastic woman and smiles at the slightest bit of happiness. I have honestly not met someone who loves this country more and would do anything for this country than my mother. She really does consider herself a member of the United States and has found a home here.

My name is [Daughter Name] and I am a 19 year old American citizen. I want to start out by saying that I love my mother and want to see her stay in the United States. She came here to seek refuge from her past and dangers that existed in [Her country] that don’t exist here. She came here with virtually nothing and had to build a new life from scratch while caring for me. I love her so much, and I’m not sure what I will do if I am separated from her. I believe I will have to go back with her if she is deported, but I am not quite sure if I would. I’d much rather not have to answer that question. My mother is an active member of the community and has done tremendous service for the church and hunger organizations. She is an advocate for equal rights and fighting hunger, and she makes positive contributions to the United States. My mom – I consider – is one of the strongest women I know, as she has had to persist through tough times and love us. She has taught me right from wrong, and I’m not quite sure where I would be without her today, and I can’t fathom being separated from her. With that being said, I need to ask you to allow her to stay in the country, as she is everything to me. I know that she may have broken the law, but she’s come here and made a positive contribution to society. So I ask of you to please grant her stay here for not only her but for my psychological well-being.
