The DNP-prepared nurse leaders are important members of the organizations in which they work. This is because they are involved in various activities that are associated with the administration of healthcare services and towards controlling other organizational resources to achieve optimum utility towards enhancing the experiences of the patients. An essential aspects of these leaders is the application of the skills and knowledge gained from their education processes towards the improvements of the quality and efficiency of healthcare services (Duncan & Thorne, 2011). In order to apply their skills, these leaders must understand the political and strategic system processes in their places of work in order to achieve optimum results in the processes of service delivery.
Understanding the political structure of the organization is important for the leaders. This is because it will assist them to apply their skills towards promoting the administrative functions of the organizations through participation in the development of policies and regulations of operations that can enhance the quality of the services provided (Sharif, 2014). Understanding the political systems in the organization can also promote their ability to use power and control and mechanisms in the organization to mobilize the available resources towards positive change processes that can promote the levels of service delivery.
Knowledge of the organizational strategic system processes is also important to the action of the leaders towards promoting productivity in the organization. This can assist them give their contribution towards planning in the organizations. This can also assist them embed the planning and control mechanisms along the organizational goals and objectives to enhance the level of service delivery (Duncan & Thorne, 2011). For instance, the strategic system process that can be used by the leaders include the understanding of the flow of information within the organization to promote good communication that can promote high level of service delivery that is essential to the operations in the workplace.
