The French and Indian War happened between 1754 and 1763. It was started along the colonial boundaries in modern-day Pennsylvania. It was started as a simple boarder war, which Washington was sent to resolve this dispute, but it quickly escalated to a full battle between Washington and the French colonists before spreading to more land.
Parliamentary Acts of 1764
The Parliamentary Acts of 1784 were two acts that were put into process on the colonies to try and control the more. These two acts helped to rebuild the finical stability that had become unstable after all the battles, but they also caused conflict within the colonies and the British government.
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a huge thing that influenced the start of the American Revolution. The incident happened when a crowd of boys started throwing rock laced snowballs at British soldiers. No one knows for sure who, but someone yelled out “fire,” which caused the soldiers to start firing on the boys, brutally injuring eight of them and killing five of them.
First Continental Congress
The first Continental Congress was founded in 1774. Each colony elected representatives to work within the congress and represent their colony. The congress worked quickly to better their colonies and fight against the rules the British was forcing on the people. They worked on creating the Declaration of American Rights, which would clearly lay out the real laws and rights of the colonies’ people.
Battles of Trenton and Saratoga
The Battle of Trenton was the battle that stopped part of the advancement that was being made by the British during the American Revolution. The Battle of Saratoga secured a critical alliance with the French for American colonies, which gave them the support and power they needed to accomplish the American Revolution.
