One common mode of transportation is the car because it is economical and easily obtained and used by the average person. There are three primary types of cars, and they are sedans, coupes, and convertibles.
The first type of car is a sedan, and it is a large car with four doors meant for families or groups of people. The sedan typically holds four to five passengers comfortably, and there is plenty of trunk space for baggage or other items. Carpoolers often use sedans to travel to work because of their comfort and efficiency. The utilitarian design of sedans leads to a simple design that is not often desired by younger generations.

The design of the second type of car, coupes, is sporty and edgy. They usually have two doors and a fast engine. They are not as economical as sedans, but they are made to satisfy the desires of those looking for a good looking vehicle that can perform. While the coupe can often hold three to four passengers, only two can comfortably be seated, as the back seat is usually small and not meant for utility. The cost of a coupe varies, but it is not meant for efficiency or more than two passengers.

The third type of car is a convertible and can vary in size, but it has a removable top for nice weather conditions. This vehicle is considered a pleasure vehicle, and it is found in all regions but usually only seen during temperate weather.

The sedan, coupe, and convertible are the three primary types of cars, but there are other types available. While each of the car types belongs to the classification of cars, they make up a broader classification of land vehicles that includes, pick-ups, vans, sport utility vehicles, motorcycles, and station wagons. The choice to drive a car over the other vehicle types is usually economy, utility, and availability.
