Abstract
A response to two discussion questions posted. The first response will address an apparent emphasis on addiction models, however importance should be focused on addiction symptoms. The second response will address treatment of addiction using therapy, in addition to other methods.

Introduction – Emphasis on the outcome not the Model
Although addictions may be classified using different models (i.e Disease model, Learning theory model, Psychoanalytic model, and the Family Theory model), the behavioral outcome of an addiction is generally the same. The outcome is that an individual appears to be unable to fully control his/her ability to do something in moderation.

Breaking an Addiction – Withdrawal
As an individual attempts to break an addiction it is scientifically observed that the more dramatic the physical withdrawal symptoms, the more serious or dangerous the addiction must be. Since withdrawal symptoms are usually indicative of the negative impacts of a particular addiction, I recommend that studies should focus more on the impacts of a certain addiction type. Much emphasis should not be placed on the breakdown of classification into a particular model. Furthermore, while the essence of an addiction will yield characteristic withdrawal indications, it must be noted that withdrawal from certain substances will cause an indicative display characteristic of behavioral actions and no physical signs may be noticed (Lisova, 2009).

Conclusion
The study of particular addiction behaviors should be conducted with further emphasis for defining characteristics on each addition. Addiction models should function only for the purpose of understanding theory.
