William Faulkner was born on September 1897. His birthplace was Albany located at Mississippi. He was a determined student though at some point gave up his studies to do what he liked most (olemiss.edu n.pg). William Faulkner was interested in poetry and writing. Hence, the critical analysis is based on his work as a poet and an author. William Faulkner was a self-oriented person. The he wrote a lot of poems and books which were inspired by his interest towards contemporary life and how he viewed things. For example, William Faulkner wrote poems such as The Marble Faun which were inspired by contemporary life. The bottom line is that; William Faulkner was self-oriented in everything he did such that he did it according to how he felt was the best way to do it(olemiss.edu n.pg).

The author was determined in his work. When he was a child, he acquitted himself to people who he felt were of a similar opinion about the life ahead of them. He had acquitted himself to two individuals who are Estelle Oldham and Phil Stone. Estelle was a young girl that she befriended while Stone was his mentor. Though Estelle dated other boys, Faulkner was determined to have her as a romantic friend which he eventually did, and they got married. On the other hand, his mentor Stone was someone who impacted William’s life. William would write poems and gibe them to his mentor to read. The struggle seemed meaningless to William since it was his favorite thing. However, Stone saw something different in the young poet thus connecting him to other people who would help nature the young boy’s talent.

William Faulkner was a creative person. When he left his job at the Winchester Repeating Arms, he got the chance to train as a cadet in the Royal Air Force in Canada. However, he did not finish the training seeing that, the war that the cadets were training for came to an end. Nevertheless, the training institution recognized him as a trained cadet where he was awarded wings for his breast pocket to show he was a competent pilot. However, after returning to Oxford, he became famous due to his creative. The fact remains he never went for any combat since he did not finish his training. However, William was the best storyteller about the combats that the army experienced during the war. He would exaggerate the stories to make his audience believe him though, in reality, the stories were just made up through his creativity. Moreover, he went ahead and wrote a book from what he used to narrate to people titled, Soldiers’ Pay. Besides, his creativity gained him the chance to enroll in Mississippi as one of the special provisions for the veterans of war.

However, his works had several reviews and criticism by other authors of the recent literature world. The fact remains that, William literature was attributed to the life, language and events that occurred at the time he was writing his poems and books (Waggoner pg. 36). However, according to the reviews and critics from authors of the following literature age, his work did not cover the future. Rather, William covered the situation and occurrences of the time forgetting that the work would be transferred from the literature age of that time to the other (Volpe n.pg).However, his literature theory gained global attention seeing that, most of the reviews involved competent authors. Also the theory of writing gained attention in the literature field seeing that many authors and learning institutions have adopted the style and theory of writing.

Various authors criticize Faulkner’s mythology of various things that he wrote about. As stated earlier Faulkner was very creative especially in his style of telling stories and exaggeration of facts in his work. For example, the story concerning Yoknapatawpha County was fictional and un-unified (Hadlich n.pg). However, an author named Cowley criticized the story seeing that the fiction was explaining a particular kind of state which was central to what the real situation of the country resembles.

William Faulkner’s work was also analyzed by various authors who argued some points in the work. For example, the Play of Faulkner’s Language lacked conceptual facts that were found to be more important than what he wrote. Moreover, he did not present out all the facts required concerning some important issues in the U.S both in his poetry and books (Hobson n.pg). Various arguments showed that; William Faulkner dealt with the southern Context according to the topic of racism. However, the major thing that he should have discussed concerning the topic should have been an exploration of the actual people of color, their presence in the U.S.A and the state of life for the people of color.

The paper discusses the critical analysis of William Faulkner. It has covered a brief biography of the author since his school life and the interest of poetry. The critical analysis goes down to his work and how other authors view them and the acceptance of his work in learning institutions.
