Mario is a Nintendo game designed by Shigeru and most likely the most popular of all game franchises made for Nintendo game consoles. It was released in 1981. Mario is a fictional Italian character adopted for the arcade game franchise.

Having held a number of positions and roles at Nintendo, Shigeru is currently the company’s Creative Fellow and Representative Director. He has held the position since 2015. In October 2016, he met Apple’s Tim Cook to showcase Super Mario Run a new game he has designed for iOS.

Takashi Tezuka
A reputable video game producer in his own right, Takashi Tezuka was born on 17th November of 1960. He worked with Shigeru Miyamoto in the creation of the Mario video game franchise. He is a graduate of Osaka University of Arts and joined Nintendo back in 1984 and has risen to become an Executive Officer with them.

Other than Mario, he has created games such as The Legend of Zelda having been influenced by The Lord of the Rings.

Tezuka is currently an Executive Officer with Nintendo where he continues to make a great contribution to game designer in various capacities either as a supervisor or a producer.

Hironobu Sakaguchi
Sakaguchi was born in 1962 in Japan; in Hitachi, Ibaraki. He is a game director, designer, producer, in addition to being a former film director. He is best known as the creator of the game series Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy games were first created in 1987. The latest release was in June of 2015. So successful are the science role-playing games that they have not only grown but also branched into other genres.

Sakaguchi continues to write, design, produce, and direct games.
