Various factors cause air pollution. For instance, excessive burning of substances such as combustion of fossil fuel contributes to air pollution. Apart from that, industrial emissions also contribute to the release of pollutants into the air thereby causing air pollution. Studies have also proved that pollution is the core cause of global warming that has taken a toll. More specifically, the release of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere is essentially one of the contributing factors of global warming. Industrial processes that lead to the emission of smoke and carbon dioxide gasses into the earth’s atmosphere also contribute to global warming. Additionally, air pollution as a result of chimney emissions and the release of smoke from vehicles and airplanes also contribute to global warming. Pollution has also led to the depletion of the ozone layer. For the records, the ozone layer is supposed to protect the earth from excess ultraviolet light.
