Artificial intelligence is a technology that progresses rapidly today. This technology provides humans with human-like mechanisms, smart search, autonomous tools based on narrow tasks and search algorithms. The use of artificial intelligence leads to crucial and revolutionary transformations in human life. While there is an opinion that artificial intelligence is harmful and dangerous for humankind, it provides a lot of benefits making human life simpler, comfortable, fun, and challenging.
Artificial intelligence can bring humans the new world, based on safety, peace, fun, optimism, and wealth. Rapid changes in robotics can redefine human understanding of identity, communication, embodiment, and consciousness (Guiterrez-Jones 69). AI is able to improve itself, surpass functioning and operating that exist in different spheres of life today. In work sphere, AI provides humans with lower error rate, higher level of secrecy and loyalty to company. Lawsuits and fatigue are not possible if the workers are computers with human-like characteristics. AI workers do not need motivation and team building, because they can control their emotional background, discipline, and awareness. AI tools are far more connected, as it is possible to provide “collective intelligence by Internet of Things and its variants” (Nassiri-Mofakham 196). The new tools based on AI mechanisms demonstrate the power of aggregating information that has not been imagined before.
Artificial intelligence is a very contradictory issue till today. Despite its wide use today, there are a lot of specialists who consider AI an unprecedent risk for humanity. Responsibility and social awareness, however, are the main tools that reduce all possible risks of AI’s rapid development. The benefits of this technology include higher level of safety, cheaper labor, loyalty to company, no lawsuits, and ability of mechanisms do devastating work instead of people. AI brings a lot of challenges to humankind, although it has already become inevitable part of human life, so that people need to be prepared to this new reality.
