The theme of the case focuses on financial difficulties associated with a school as a result of salaries not paid by the government to the school’s teacher. The theme is significant as it has a number of impacts on the ability of the school to not only provide a quality education to students through the prolonged employment of staff, but to develop and continue to grow and improve. The depletion of a school fund can result from a number of situations involving pressure from requirements to further develop school infrastructure or from statewide or national department financial difficulties and their inability to provide a substantial budget for funding (AAE, 2015).
The issue in relation to this case is the fact that the school teachers need to be paid in order to continue providing education for students at the school. Since the government had not paid the teachers and it was highly likely that the teachers would have gone on strike, the school risked its budget and paid the teachers. This further jeopardized the ability of the school to dedicate significant amounts of money towards development and the implementation of better teaching and educational methods and techniques. Additionally, issues concerning the case also focus on the use of ethics in professional environments (AAE, 2015). The actions of the teachers in reimbursing the school after they were finally paid by the government are highly respectable and ethical in the sense that they are showing gratitude towards the school and encouraging further gracious and generous acts in the future.

The consequences of the case include sustainment of education at the local school and solidification of ethical ideals and ways of thinking for future employment and educational success. As a result of the school generously paying the teachers, the teachers returned the favor and were able to show their gratitude and overall thanks for being well looked after. Ultimately, the teachers and school will remain loyal to one another for these series of events and subsequent generosity on both sides.
