People`s health is considered to be the primary public good of each nation, and the society is expected to provide every person with a high-quality service to preserve this good. Daniels (2012) states that differences in health states increase social injustice which occurs in the forms of health inequality. It ultimately results in the impoverishment of population and the spread of infections and diseases. For this reason, the government and the society are expected to take measures to provide each citizen with equal access to health care service. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is an attempt to promote equal access to the medical care goods (Responsible Reform for the Middle Class, 2012). It will offer coverage to all the people, give them access to the innovative therapies, and guarantee the transparency of the projects, thus ensuring their safety and improving their well-being. Under the principles of social justice, more advantageous people should share their goods with less advantageous representatives of the society. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has a strong resemblance to the principles of Christianity. God says that people should share with needy (as cited in Chery, 2015). Regarding the new law, it means that if people are economically prosperous, they should share their goods with those who cannot afford high-quality health care service. The wealthier will share with others by paying taxes regularly. The more gains a person has, the higher taxes he will pay out. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act budgeting will require a certain amount of taxation, paid by wealthier people. It proves an assumption that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is similar to the Christian principle. Evidently, if the law is rooted in religion and is based on the principle of social justice, it should be signed to provide equal access to the healthcare system.
